Your family planning options at Haxby Group
At Haxby Group, we offer various family planning services, including long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) and vasectomy. For the contraceptive pill, we now direct all new pill starts and pill reviews to the pharmacy service when the pill is intended for contraception. This does not include non-contraceptive uses of the pill, such as for acne or to help with heavy periods etc. Please contact us to book an appointment for any of these services.
Information on Vasectomy
A vasectomy is a surgical procedure to cut or seal the tubes that carry sperm, to prevent pregnancy permanently. We perform vasectomies with a highly trained team in our minor surgical suite at Gale Farm surgery in York. This service is available to patients registered with GPs in the Vale of York, or Scarborough and Ryedale. You can access it via routine referral from your usual GP.

Emergency Contraception
